Services

The services provided by Thom Tech cover a multitude of areas from program management to software development, testing, system deployment, and change management. Some of the services include such areas as our relationship with the Depot Maintenance Accounting and Production System (DMAPS) system. Examples of that include software documentation control/review, scheduling of software testing, and assisting in the sustainment of the DMAPS suite of systems (DIFMS, NIMMS, ABOM, and Integration Engine). We have managed the development and implementation activities of new software programs, the migration processes related to going from multiple financial management and depot maintenance legacy systems to the new suite, development of ERP solutions, and improvement of data assurance per requirements of the Chief Financial Officers (CFO) Act.

We provide assessment of program management processes, methodology, approaches, and provided recommendations to improve program performance. We facilitate management sessions to expedite technical decisions. This is accomplished by facilitating communication between multiple DOD agencies and departments, and private vendors; working with the system engineers to refine, centralize and manage a software problem reporting process; supporting the PMO Configuration Control Board (CCB)/Discrepancy Review Board (DRB): assisting designated AFMC and ALC functional/technical teams in both AFMC/A4 or FMR in identifying any requirements driving software changes and fixes to assigned systems; provided portfolio management (PFM) support including tracking all activity on a given system, or change, and providing statements of ROI (Return on Investment).

Thom Tech provides financial analysis for mapping financial data from legacy systems to the applicable new system and provides input to the upcoming budgetary cycle whenever it is determined that cycle is impacted. We provide assistance in reporting on program financial management-related data to senior Air Force decision-makers. This is accomplished by obtaining, analyzing, and reporting on financial and non-financial data in order to assess the health of the each program.
